Holiday Time at Stampin' Up!

It may be back to school for most of us, but it's also Holiday Time in the Stampin' Up! world. The new holiday catalog is now available.

One of my favorite new stamps in the new catalog is Holiday Home. I love the houses and the different ways you can decorate them with the various stamps. It also has a coordinating framelit set which makes cutting out the houses very easy. I have been making a lot of shaker cards recently so I used this new set to make a shaker holiday card. I have white sprinkles in the background to look like snow on the ground. The houses are on top of the clear sheet and I used an old snowflake stamp for the background.

Summer Projects

I took a bit of a break from my blog this summer. I have been crafting a lot but haven't been taken the time to post anything. I guess this was my break from homework and now that school has started, I'm back to blogging. Below are some of my recent cards. I have been having fun with shaker cards this summer and using my Big Shot and my Silhouette quite a bit. Enjoy.

The Stampin' Up! holiday calendar will be available on August 28th. Check back on Thursday to see the catalog! And a new sample of my favorite holiday stamp set.

New Stampin' Up! Catalog!

This is my favorite time of year. The new Stampin' Up! catalog is now available. Lots of new stamps, new InColors, new accessories and some really fun tools and punches. View the pdf by clicking below and email me if you would like a copy of the catalog.

Easter Flowers

I have been dreaming about spring the last few weeks so despite the snowy and cold weather outside, I'm making my craft room feel like spring. I have these cards on my wall to keep me inspired. I really like this Easter stamp, the outline is very pretty if you want to make a simple sketch card,  but you can also color it for a change.

I made the card using the Ovals Collection framelits for the Big Shot. I scored my card (5-1/2 by 4-1/4) and then used the big shot to cut out the base. I used the other circles for the layers including a white layer inside. I colored the flowers using my Copic  markers. DID YOU KNOW... Stampin' Up! is coming out with alcohol based makers soon so you can blend just like Copics!

More Painters Tape

I'm still really enjoying the painters tape technique and I found a card like this on Pintrest. I could not find the original creator but I definitely case'd it from somewhere.
